Meet Our Team

Dr. Kristen Brauer, CCRP

Dr. Kristen Brauer is a dedicated veterinarian with a passion for enhancing the lives of animals. Originally from New Jersey, she pursued her love for science with a Marine Biology degree from Eckerd College before graduating from the University of Florida's veterinary school in 2002. 

​

Dr. Brauer furthered her expertise by completing veterinary acupuncture training in 2004 and quickly thereafter adopted laser therapy as a complementary modality for her patients. In 2010, Dr. Brauer completed the Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) program at University of Tennessee, and in 2016, she obtained her Veterinary Medical Manipulator Certification. 

​

Known for her collaborative approach, Dr. Brauer excels in working with pet owners to ensure the well-being of their beloved dogs and cats. Beyond her veterinary practice, she indulges in her hobbies, including traveling, photography, outdoor activities, and engaging in community service.

Dani

​Dani is a Certified Veterinary Technician, graduating from the Vet Tech Institute in December 2008. She is originally from Oregon and made Saint Petersburg, Florida her home upon leaving the Pacific Northwest. Passionate about continuing education in veterinary care, she takes pride in educating pet owners on the best practices for caring for their furry companions, empowering them to make informed decisions about their pets' wellbeing and medical needs.

​

In addition to her love for animals and veterinary medicine, she also finds joy in outdoor activities such as gardening, paddle boarding, kayaking, and beach days. She has a strong wanderlust spirit and enjoy traveling to new places, as well as practicing yoga for relaxation and mindfulness.

​

At home, Dani has two beloved canine companions: her wise senior lady, Kaya, who is a Husky mix and the newest addition to her family, a playful yellow Labrador puppy named Duck. These fur babies bring her endless happiness and companionship, and she cherishes every moment spent with them.

Sarah

Sarah, a dedicated veterinary assistant from Chicago, holds a bachelor's degree in biology with a focus on pre-veterinary studies from Eckerd College. With a passion for animal care and rehabilitation, Sarah has been making a difference in the veterinary field since 2018. She finds immense fulfillment in helping her patients heal and thrive through their recovery and rehabilitation journeys.

​

Outside of her professional life, Sarah is an outdoor enthusiast. She spends her time kayaking with her loyal dog, exploring nature through hiking, and spending quality time with her beloved pets at home. Her furry companions include Buster the dog, Serotonin the cat, and two adorable bunnies, Bun and Wally West.

 

Sarah's unwavering dedication to animal care and her love for the outdoors are evident in every aspect of her life. Her compassionate approach and adventurous spirit make her a beloved member of both the veterinary community and her circle of friends and family.

Kayla, our staff member

Kayla

Kayla is a compassionate and dedicated veterinary technician with a deep love for animals. She has been in the veterinary medicine field since 2019 and graduated from Saint Petersburg College's Veterinary Technology program in 2022.

​

Originally from Tampa Bay, Kayla now resides in Michigan, where she efficiently handles various administrative duties for our practice. Her greatest joy comes from helping animals and witnessing their recovery and well-being.

​

Outside of her professional life, Kayla enjoys spending quality time with loved ones and indulging in hobbies such as crocheting, photography, and exploring the great outdoors. Her home is filled with the love of her pets: Pumpkin the dachshund, Chloe the Aussie mix, and Floki the Aussie. Kayla's unwavering commitment to animal welfare, combined with her warm and caring nature, makes her a valuable member of our veterinary team.

Courtnee

 

Courtnee, born and raised in Daytona Beach, Florida, is a proud graduate of Daytona State, FIAA, and UCF.

 

With 8 years of experience in veterinary medicine, plus a decade spent working with Arni’s, a local animal rescue, she has built a career fueled by her love for animals. Her favorite species to work with are dogs and turtles, and she treasures the moments spent watching young pets grow and forming meaningful connections with their families.

 

Outside of veterinary medicine, Courtnee enjoys a balanced mix of relaxing at home and exploring the springs to soak up nature. She is also an avid gamer and a passionate basketball fan.

 

Courtnee’s family includes three beloved pets: Bruno, her loyal 12-year-old black lab; Esmé, her 9-year-old “big mama” tabby; and Figaro, her 1-year-old black cat, who rules the house.
